About Us
  Immun•wize is a derivative of the Utah County Immunization Coalition (UCIC) which has the following mission and goals:

Mission

To increase the number of adequately immunized infants, children, and adolescents who also receive immunizations in a timely manner in Utah County while concurrently addressing parental concerns.

Goal
Implement programs decreasing communicable disease by increasing timely vaccination among Utah County infants, children, and adolescents.

Activities
•Partnered with Utah State Health Department to conduct research on reasons why parents exempt children from receiving vaccinations.
•Partnered with Brigham Young University to conduct research on reasons why parents hesitate in having children immunized.
•Partnered with Safe Kids Coalition and Utah County Health Department to disseminate immunization information with car seat safety checks.
•Encourages use of Utah State-wide Immunization Information System (USIIS) by local physician offices.

Future Projects
Identify parental concerns and barriers to receiving childhood immunizations, and develop media campaign and implement program planning to address these items.

Coalition Meetings
Meetings are scheduled bi-monthly at the Utah County Health Department.
